Albion face a Cardiff side fighting for Championship survival and who know they may have to win to keep hopes alive.

Morrison, alongside Damia Abella and Boaz Myhill, are aiming to restore an element of pride to the final weeks of the season after a desperate run of form and meek performances have left a bitter taste among supporters, with Tony Mowbray was dismissed from his role.

With the south Wales challenge in mind, Morrison did at least confirm almost a full complement of players to select from.

Midfielder Jayson Molumby and left-back Callum Styles are back from suspension. I think it makes relative sense to include the pair as Morrison suggested the team are looking to take responsibility after recent failings. If we are going to see young players to see out the season it will not be until at home to Luton in next weekend's finale.

Recent injury absentees Semi Ajayi and Tammer Bany have stepped up their returns and could be options for the bench. Defender Ajayi looks set to depart this summer at the end of his contract. Bany, the £3.3million winter window recruit, is billed for a promising future at the club.

Mowbray said just before his sacking that top scorer Josh Maja is unlikely to play again this season due to injury, but Morrison said on Friday morning the top goalscorer is working hard and could yet make a surprise comeback, more likely against Luton.
