Mowbray was axed on Easter Monday after a rotten run of results had seen Albion slip out of contention for a play-off spot.

Earlier this week, the Express & Star reported that the owners Bilkul will look to a youthful head coach as they target a fresh start with a hunger to succeed for the new campaign.

However, with Albion's season all but over with two games remaining, they will not rush into an appointment.

Jonny Drury and Lewis Cox discussed the managerial search on the latest episode of the Baggies Broadcast this week.

And they looked at the pressure that is now on Bilkul and owner Shilen Patel to get the appointment right - after the Mowbray situation.
