A few hundred supporters watched on, as Mat Sadler and his coaches put the Walsall players through their paces on the Bescot pitch.

Priestley Farquharson (thigh) and Josh Gordon (hamstring) were both involved and are expected to be available for the weekend.

Jack Earing (ankle) also participated in full training, but Sadler has confirmed he won't be ready to make his comeback against Stanley.

Manchester United loanee Ethan Wheatley did not feature, with the teenager training with his parent club ahead of their Premier League 2 fixture against Everton under-21s on Friday night.

After training was over, the players signed autographs and posed for pictures, before attending a separate event at The Locker later in the afternoon.

Walsall sit just one-point adrift of the top three, after falling out of the automatic promotion spots, following back-to-back draws against Harrogate Town and Newport County respectively over the Easter weekend.
