HTFC go top of Wolverhampton & District Sunday League Division Three

HTFC’s 5-1 win at home against AFC Wolves has put them top of Wolverhampton & District Sunday League Division Three.

Jonathan Letford and Bradley Welding bagged braces for the new league leaders, as James Stevens added to the scoresheet.

AFC Wolves are guaranteed to finish sixth ahead of their final game against second-placed Bradmore Social.

A title-deciding final game week is lining up in Division Four as Dudley Rangers United pulled ahead of rivals DY United two weeks before the top two face off.

Dudley defeated Mental Health Lions 3-0 with Joe Snipe and Reece Lenton among the scorers.

Lions remain at the foot of the table, while Dudley have chance of going five points clear with their game in hand against Bushbury Hill next Wednesday.

Lonestar HydroBolt Rangers drew 0-0 with Codsall Wanderers, while Bushbury Hill and Mental Health Sports both enjoyed 1-0 wins against Sporting Codsall and Black Country Phoenix respectively.

Jamie Harley netted for Bushbury, while Callum Hayward scored Sports’ goal.

The BP Robert’s Cup final on Friday 25 April (7pm) sees Division Two title-favourites Barnhurst Lane Lions face sixth-placed Tettenhall at Wolverhampton Casuals FC.

The Charity Cup final between Division Two side Dynamo 50 Stile and Division One champions Victoria will be held at Molineux on June 4 (8pm).

Tickets for the BP Robert’s final will be £5, while the Charity Cup final will cost £6. Both feature concessions at £3 and children attending for free.
