Darts round-up: Junction B secure a treble
Junction B, after winning the Wolverhampton Tuesday League and Doubles titles, clinched the treble by taking the Burrell Shield in style – crushing New Gate A 4-0.
Jack Aldridge, Luke Griffiths, Paul Bromley and Glen McGrandle won for the champions, while New Gate came through a tough semi-final with Hotshots. Dave Walker won the last-leg decider, while Junction ousted Gilberts A 4-2.
The Pilot inflicted Junction B their first defeat of the season in the Tettenhall Wednesday League with a shock 4-3 victory. Shannon Burden, Joe Bartelo, Alfie Stanford and Andrew Davies did the damage.
Dog & Partridge move back to joint top after winning a topsy-turvy battle 4-3 against Codsall Bull. Wins came from Craig Locker, Mike Matthews, Mark Frumenzi and Dave Lucas.
McGhees enjoyed a 7-0 away victory at The Goose thanks to Gary Astbury, John Edwards, Ryan Bourne, Conrad Taylor, Alex Bryant, Charlie Burley and Nath Jones.
The West Midlands Men's Super League held UKDA Qualifiers, and the winning quartet heading to Bolton are Dog & Partridge’s duo, Chris Slater and Wayne Jones.
They defeated Ian Jones and Ryan O’Connor respectively, while Kings Head’s Owen Maiden overcame Will Beaden and Chase Social’s Kieron O’Mahoney got the better of Rob Thompson.
The West Midlands Ladies’ Super League’s Gemma Barrett made it 13 wins out of last 14, winning 3-1 to remain top.
Evonne Taylor remains unbeaten after 18 matches in second place after winning 3-0 in both of her games.

Tipton star Jamie Hughes, fresh from winning the Shropshire Open, clinched the Gilberts Open by defeating Mark Zambra 6-2 in the final. Losing in semi-finals were Shropshire’s Anthony West and England International Reece Colley.
Great Wyrley & Cheslyn Hay Monday A league-leaders Hazlewood got pushed all the way by bottom side Colliers Arms A, eventually winning 4-3.
Second-placed Chase Social enjoyed a convincing 6-1 victory over Cannock Ex.
In the Shadow League, Swan A remain four points clear after beating Grangemoor 4-3, while second side Burn Street B won 4-3 against Walsall Wood FC.
Three teams remain joint top in the Cannock Friday League after all enjoyed 6-1 victories. Chase Social C, Bridgetown A and The Duck all won against Chase B, Yew Tree and Belt Road respectively.
