Newport 0-0 Walsall player ratings: 6s and 7s in Saddlers stalemate
George Bennett gives his player ratings from Walsall's goalless draw against Newport County on Easter Monday.

Tommy Simkin - 7
Vital - Made comfortable saves to deny Michael Spellman and Kai Whitmore before pulling off a vital late stop to deny Josh Martin one-on-one. Perhaps fortunate to escape punishment for a high challenge on Martin.
David Okagbue - 7
Solid - Made a key block to thwart Bobby Kamwa in the first half and was solid defensively for the majority of the contest.
Harry Williams - 5
Sloppy - Had his work cut out dealing the threat of 6ft 9in Newport target man Kyle Hudlin and was twice caught on the ball in dangerous positions.
Taylor Allen - 7
Captain - Wore the armband after Jamille Matt dropped to the bench and dealt with his defensive duties relatively. Ciaran Brennan was dismissed for a high challenge on Allen in the second half.
Ryan Stirk - 7
Intelligent - Provided composure in possession and complimented Chang with his in-game intelligence by filling in and covering when needed.
