Supporters continue to be left puzzled by Mat Sadler's decision to leave Williams, not just out of the XI, but out of the squad altogether.
Sadler opted to hand captain Donervon Daniels his first league start since November in the 2-0 defeat at Barrow on Saturday and it was a decision which ultimately backfired.
In Daniels' defence, it was his first minutes since suffering a calf injury in January and that clearly showed as he failed to get to grips with Bluebirds target man Aaron Pressley.
David Okagbue also dropped to the bench and was only introduced for the final few minutes, and Sadler will have a 50/50 decision on whether to recall Okagbue or stick with Oisin McEntee on the right of the back-three.
