The 2-0 defeat against Barrow at Holker Street last weekend was met with heavy criticism as they extended their winless run to 10 games in League Two.

Doncaster Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw at Salford City on Tuesday night to spare Walsall the pain of dropping out of the automatic promotion places altogether.

Patience is wearing thin after just two victories from the last 17 games but Simkin has pleaded with supporters to give them one last push over the finish line.
