Harriers sit second in the standings, just a point behind leaders Scunthorpe United with four games remaining this season.

Phil Brown’s side boast the best form in the league having gone unbeaten in their last ten matches - winning eight - and the Harriers boss has been named as the league's manager of the month for March while forward Ashley Hemmings picked up the player accolade.

Ahead of hosting play-off hopefuls Curzon Ashton tomorrow, Brown expressed his delight at their success and said he is relishing the title race.

"When you do get awards like that it is always a sign that the team is doing well," said Brown. "For me it is a collective. Yes Ashley has been rewarded, but without his teammates he wouldn't have it.

"It is a testimony to the togetherness and team spirit that we have. I think it showed in March how well we were playing, how confident we were and how we got a hold of the league and put a marker down.

"Before we came into the month we were eighth in the league, but to end it second and have a hold of the tail of the leaders Scunthorpe, after beating them too, it is a sign that the pressure has been cranked up and the players are responding.

"The point at Buxton last weekend might be the biggest point of the season, certainly in the way that we finished the game and managed to get the 92nd-minute equaliser. But, it was non-stop pressure on their goal after that and that just showed the mindset of my players. They weren't happy with a point.

"With four games to go it is a great period of excitement and the two home games left could see some of the biggest crowds at Aggborough this season.

"We are producing the right kind of football and that has got us to where we are. We are really embracing the moment.

"I think my experience helps, yes. I draw comfort from the fact that I used to go for interviews when I was young and the answer was that I wasn't experienced enough, but nobody can say that anymore. The experience carries you a long way but it counts for nothing if the players aren't focused. That is the biggest part of my job, to prepare them properly."

Elsewhere, strugglers Rushall Olympic could be relegated back to step three football if Radcliffe secure victory. Rushall, who are unbeaten in three league games, visit Needham Market.

The Pics sat bottom of the standings when Richard Sneekes was appointed as manager on a permanent in December. The former West Brom hero managed to lead Rushall out of the bottom four, but they have since fallen back into the mire and are 11  points from safety with four matches remaining - including tomorrow.

In the Southern Central Premier, Halesowen Town continue their fight for the title and host Barwell for their penultimate home game of the season. The Yeltz sit two points behind leaders Bedford Town in third.

And, rivals Stourbridge welcome Leiston looking to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat at AFC Sudbury last weekend.
