Walsall boss Mat Sadler praises impact of his subs
Mat Sadler says the Walsall substitutes have been instrumental in helping the club maintain its strong track record of scoring late goals.
In the last week alone, Taylor Allen rescued a 1-1 draw against AFC Wimbledon with a stunning 87th-minute free-kick at Bescot, before Danny Johnson climbed off the bench to equalise in the final minute at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday.
No team has scored more goals after the 75th-minute than Walsall this term (20) and they boast the joint-most goals scored by substitutes (14) in League Two.
Sadler has been accused of being safe with his substitutions of late, but the Walsall boss has been impressed by the impact from the bench in the crucial draws against Wimbledon and Doncaster.
