Highly rated Aston Villa forward signed from Rangers set to sign new deal
Aston Villa have seen a string of young talents rise up through the ranks in recent years.
There have also been a handful of youngsters who have been brought into the club from other academies - who Villa have high hopes for in the future.
And one of them is former Rangers youngster Rory Wilson.
The 19-year-old was signed by Villa back in 2022 - and before long was handed his first professional dean when he turned 17 in January 2023.
Since then the youngster's stock has risen and it is believed he is highly thought of by the hierarchy at Villa Park.
He has regularly featured for the club's under 18 and 21 sides since he arrived at the club, and he a regular source of goals for both sides.
His first professional deal was set to run out this summer, and there was reportedly concern that he may leave for compensation at the end of his deal.
However, Wilson, who is yet to get a chance in the first team at the club, is now set to sign a new deal according to reports.
A new deal will keep him at Villa until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
