Fourth-placed Sunderland are the visitors to kickstart a busy three-game week which also takes the Baggies to top-six rivals Bristol City on Tuesday before the visit of Watford.
Head coach Mowbray delivered a fairly encouraging selection of availability news in his press conference on Thursday afternoon as he bids to help the Baggies find the goal trail more regularly and hit back from the defeat at Norwich.
Midfielder Isaac Price and full-back Darnell Furlong were the main subjects of the updates. Long-term absentees Jed Wallace, Semi Ajayi and Josh Maja remain unavailable.
Below is a run through of Albion's availability issues in full.
Darnell Furlong - suspension return
First-choice right-back Furlong has served a three-match ban, where he missed games against Burnley, Hull and Norwich following a red card against QPR.
Furlong is back available to Mowbray to face the Black Cats and it could be a welcome time given the visitors have on-loan Roma attacker Enzo Le Fee back from injury. Furlong is likely to take Mason Holgate's place in the side.
Isaac Price - calf
Price was left kicking his heels on the bench at Carrow Road last weekend where Mowbray did not want to risk a more serious injury after Price felt calf discomfort during Northern Ireland duty.
The Albion boss confirmed star January recruit Price had trained in full this week, however, so he is likely to return to the starting line-up.
Semi Ajayi - hamstring
Last week Mowbray revealed that centre-back Ajayi and winger Wallace had stepped up their rehabilitation with the club's physical and medical staff.

There was no more progress reported for the duo this week, however, as Mowbray said the pair are still not with the group he has available for contention.
Ajayi has not featured since he limped out of the win over Oxford on February 22, just after recovering from another hamstring setback.
Jed Wallace - calf
The club captain has not played since picking up the muscle injury at his former club Millwall on February 15. He is still sidelined with Mowbray shorter on natural right-sided options.
Josh Maja - lower leg
Last week brought the hammerblow that top goalscorer Maja, who has not played since January 4, will not return from a lower leg issue until a potential play-off campaign.
That return date is later than the one initially provided by the club. Maja was spotted with protective footwear a few weeks ago and Mowbray confirmed last week the striker has been in the precaution wear for much of his tenure.
Maja has not kicked a ball with Mowbray at the helm.
