Walsall and West Brom key EFL dates for next season

Albion are vying for a play-off spot with the hopes of returning to the Premier League - while Walsall are sitting top of League Two and looking likely to achieve their aim of promotion to League One.

This season is yet to be completed, but the EFL has announced some of its key dates for the 2025/26 campaign.

The dates may not apply to Albion if they do achieve promotion, but they will apply to the Saddlers.

The date for fixtures to be released for the new campaign will be at 9am on June 26, with the League One and Two seasons set to get underway on the weekend of August 1 to 3.

Elsewhere, the Championship will begin a week later between August 8 and 10.

As the 2024/25 season draws to an exciting close, the highly anticipated Fixture Release Day for the 2025/26 season is almost here!

The scheduled 46 game season will take place across 33 weekends, with nine midweek games and four bank holiday games scheduled in the Championship.

In League One and Two, games will take place also over 33 weekends, with five midweeks, eight bank holidays and international breaks.
