Head coach Mowbray held talks with owner and chairman Shilen Patel and sporting director Andrew Nestor in recent weeks, as well as head of football operations Ian Pearce, who is predominantly based at the club's training HQ.

It is set for another summer of change at The Hawthorns with several high-profile big earners out of contract including Grady Diangana and John Swift among others. Albion decision-makers will continue to work to bring the club's finances under more manageable levels were complying with profit and sustainability laws.

Mowbray, who returned to the club in January, has said he will not play a central leading role in recruitment with Nestor and Pearce - and his recruitment team, but the experienced head coach will have a say in arrivals.
