Wife of Wolverhampton speedway legend Tai Woffinden issues update after crash
The wife of Wolves speedway legend Tai Woffinden has issued a statement thanking fans - after the rider was left in an induced coma following a crash.

The former Wolves rider collided with team-mate Franciszek Majewski and crashed heading into the first turn in Poland on Sunday, with the meeting subsequently called off as the 34-year-old was airlifted to hospital..
And an update on Monday afternoon said Woffinden was in intensive care on a ventilator after undergoing surgery having suffered 'multiple limb fractures and a chest injury'.
Woffinden, who became Great Britain's first ever three-time world champion when he lifted his third crown in 2018 - achieved great domestic success while at Wolves, winning the Elite League title in 2009 and 2016.

His wife Faye has issued an update on her Instagram page regarding the Wolves legend, thanking fans for their support and calling for their patience.
She wrote: "Right now, our hearts are heavy, and we are taking things one moment at a time. Please know how deeply grateful we are for your patience, your love, and your support – it truly means the world to us. In the midst of this incredibly difficult time, your support reminds us that we are not facing this alone.

“However, we are still processing everything and need a little more time to understand where things stand before sharing any further updates.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding more than we can say. We will share more when we are able. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
