Albert Adomah partnered Jamille Matt in attack during the goalless draw at Gillingham as Walsall lacked the clinical touch to secure maximum points.
Meanwhile, Amantchi seized his chance in the team when he scored against his former club Bromley in their 2-2 draw at Hayes Lane earlier this month.
Matt also got on the score sheet, extending his season tally to 12, with the pair striking up a promising early partnership.
The defence was the standout department in the stalemate in Kent. Oisin McEntee, Harry Williams and Evan Weir performed well and it would perhaps be unwise to upset that dynamic after keeping just their second clean sheet of the calendar year.
