Title winning Wolves defender lands Championship role after non-league job
Former Wolves title winning defender Richard Stearman has landed a coaching role in the Championship.
The 37-year-old spent eight years as a player at Molineux, winning the Championship and League One title, before later returning for a short loan spell.
Stearman dropped into non-league and signed for Solihull Moors in 2023 - before hanging up his boots last year.
He immediately moved into a coaching role, taking up a first team coach position at the National League outfit.
But now he has jumped up the leagues, having been named a as a coach alongside Swansea City interim boss Alan Sheehan.
Sheehan has been in temporary charge of the struggling Welsh club since the sacking of Luke Williams earlier this year.
He has been named interim boss for the remainder of the campaign, and has brought in two coaches to work alongside him.
Stearman is one, and he has been joined by former Huddersfield Town boss Mark Fotheringham.
