Parker confronted referee Gavin Ward after he sent off Burnley defender CJ Egan-Riley after the final whistle following a tangle with Baggies striker Will Lankshear.
Egan-Riley was dismissed for violent conduct but was successful in his appeal against a three-match ban.
However, Parker must serve a suspension and pay a fine, having accepted a charge of improper conduct.
A Football Association spokesperson said: “Scott Parker has been given a one-match touchline ban and £2,000 fine for misconduct at the EFL Championship match between Burnley and West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday 11 March.
“It was alleged that the manager acted in an improper manner around the 95th minute by entering the field of play and remonstrating with the match official(s).
“Scott Parker accepted the charge, and an independent Regulatory Commission imposed his sanctions following a hearing.”
Burnley go into Saturday’s home match against Bristol City third in the Championship, two points behind both Leeds and Sheffield United in the battle for automatic promotion.
