The Saddlers are unbeaten in four games away from home in League Two although each of their last three road trips have ended in stalemates.

They were still able to extend their lead at the summit by an extra point after Bradford City's 1-0 defeat against Tranmere Rovers at Valley Parade last Saturday opened up a three-point gap.

Nonetheless, wins have been at a premium for Walsall of late, with just two over the past 12 games, but Sadler has been pleased by the resilience shown by his side on the road recently.

He said: "It's really important to just keep perspective all the time. That's something I always try to do. I thought on Thursday night, we showed a real desire and determination to make sure we left there with something.
