Isaac Price's second-half goal, his first for the Baggies, looked like it might be enough for Tony Mowbray's men to claim all three points but for a late sting in the tail.

We address some of the clash's talking points in the debrief.

Barely believable numbers

The only consistency Albion have managed this season has been drawing games.

Saturday was an 18th of the Championship season - remarkably Preston have also managed 17 - but no team in England's top eight tiers have drawn as many league games. It is a similar story in Europe's top leagues. Few have got close.

The last time the club clocked up as many draws in a season was a quarter-of-a-century ago, in the 1999/2000 campaign where Albion just about steered clear of second tier relegation having been taken over by Gary Megson in March. They managed 19 that season. There are eight games left and the Football League record is 23.

Naturally it is a record Albion will want to steer well clear of - and if they do get close to 23 the likelihood is they will not make the play-offs.
