The 29-year-old has had a tough time of it this season. He started the campaign by fracturing his leg in pre-season and fell below Ryan Stirk in the pecking order during his spell on the side lines.
A fractured cheekbone consigned him to another spell out of the team in December but he has looked as if he has never been away since coming in for his first league start at Morecambe last weekend.
The midfield dynamics have worked really well at Morecambe and Cheltenham. Comley has been disciplined and composed in the holding role, with Ryan Stirk cleverly dropping in alongside him and stepping up into the 'eight' role in the transition.
