Olsen was a half time substitute, replacing Emi Martinez as Villa trailed 1-0 at the break against Palace.
The keeper then went on to have an evening to forget, as Villa collapsed in the second half conceding three goals as they went down 4-1.
But prior to even coming on the pitch, Olsen had felt the wrath of the home supporters for an incident during the half time interval.
As Olsen was warming up in one of the goals at Selhurst Park before coming on, he was asked if he would move by one of Palace's announcers, to make way for a half time game that involved youngsters from both clubs.
The announcer can be seen walking over to Olsen saying: "Hello, we need that goal."
After another question, Olsen appears to gesture for the man to move before saying, "We're using the goal."
Clips of the incident were posted on social media, with fans behind the goal in the Palace end then booing the Villa substitute goalkeeper.
