The Saddlers have recovered from their midseason blip to move eight points clear at the League Two summit with back-to-back wins over Chesterfield and Morecambe respectively.

Goals from Taylor Allen and Jamie Jellis secured a 2-0 success on the Lancashire coast on Saturday to end a run of three successive away defeats in League Two.

Sadler will mark his 100th game in charge of Walsall by coming up against his predecessor Michael Flynn, who is now in charge of 11th-place Cheltenham.

When asked if he looks back with pride at reaching his latest milestone, Sadler said: "I don't reflect. I don't look back, I only look forward.

"I'll look back at 113 games (at the end of the season) but for now we're very much so on the journey. We're just at the start of a big spell of games, we've got to be right on the front foot and attack every moment in them.
