Mowbray has already served up some memorable moments at the start of his second spell.
The 5-1 thumping of Portsmouth in his first game in charge was followed by a dramatic stoppage time victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
However, there have been some frustrating moments already as Mowbray looks to cement Albion's place in the Championship play-offs.
In his first six games, he has gathered seven points but will be adamant Albion should have had more on the board, especially after results like the late 2-1 defeat at Plymouth.
A lot of comparisons have been made with Mowbray's first spell at the club - despite the fact it came almost two decades ago.
However, when looking back at his first stint in charge of Albion - there is a statistic that shows a direct comparison with his first time in charge at Albion.
Mowbray's first six games - 2006/2007
Mowbray came into the job on the back of Bryan Robson's early season sacking.
And he came into the club in an unusually upbeat situation.
Under Nigel Pearson's caretaker charge, Albion had just thrashed Ipswich Town 5-1 at Portman Road, before going in to beat Crystal Palace.
Mowbray then took the helm for his first game, and it came against arch Black Country rivals Wolves.
It could not have gone any better, with Jonathan Greening, Diomansy Kamara and John Hartson spot kick helping Albion to a memorable 3-0 victory at The Hawthorns.
That whet the appetite of Albion fans for what they expected to come - but the next run of games did not go that way.
A 2-0 defeat at Birmingham City followed - before Nathan Ellington and a Kamara double saw Albion take a point from a home clash with Queens Park Rangers.
And Albion were then on a run of just one point from four games, as they were beaten at Derby County and at home to Norwich City.
Things did pick up in the next home game, as Ellington, Jason Koumas and Darren Carter all notched in a 3-0 victory over Burnley.
But much like his second coming, Mowbray amassed the same amount of points, seven, from his first six games in charge.
Following his opening few games, Albion did go on to lose two more back to back matches.
But between early December and late February, Albion went on a run of just one defeat in 15 outings.
