The young Baggies drew 1-1 with their counterparts from Wolves on Monday night to leave themselves 18th in a congested 26-team Premier League 2 table - but just four points away from the top 10, with a game in hand.

Mowbray has made it his mission to watch as many under-21 games as possible, and Beale said that can only be a good thing for Albion's kids.

“I’ve had a couple of brief chats with Tony and he left me feeling a million dollars, he really did," said Beale. “His enthusiasm and his energy and his love of the game shone through.

“He's really, really positive about the academy and the young players, which is fantastic and really refreshing.
