Liverpool away is not the sort of game that will define Wolves’ season, but there are a number of positives to take from the game, despite the defeat.

However, the referee set the tone early on. Apparently pulling players back on the break is no longer a yellow card. Initiating contact for the penalty deemed to be enough for a foul, but the push in the back of Agbadou was not?

The game looked over at half time without us creating too much, but the introduction of Bellegarde and Munetsi did change the game, Wolves were excellent in the second half in which Liverpool did not even muster up a shot on goal.

Our reliance on Cunha to create is clear to see, he excelled in an all action role in that second half with a quality strike for the goal.

Considering he’s ex-Wolves, Jota should hang his head in shame for a pathetic dive for the overturned penalty incident. Maybe I need to check the rule book because apparently a dive is no longer a yellow card now either.

Let’s hope the Agbadou injury is not serious as he has transformed our defence since his arrival, and his attributes will be needed away at Bournemouth next.

Going to Anfield is always a tough place to try and get points from but it's even more difficult when you have a referee, who from the first minute allowed Liverpool to get away with whatever they wanted.

Some of the decisions were baffling and after numerous fouls from the home side that went unpunished, it was Wolves players who got punished for stating the obvious to Simon Hooper.
