Tommy Simkin - 6

Hesitant - Only had one comfortable save to make across the 90 but was guilty of hesitating on a couple of occasions when Chesterfield launched the ball in behind.

David Okagbue - 7

Struggled to deal with the threat of Chesterfield's balls in behind in the first half but looked much more commanding when he moved into the centre of the back-three after the break.  His cushioned header also set-up Matt's equaliser.

Harry Williams - 7

Forced off - Rescued Walsall from falling further behind with two vital last-ditch blocks in the first half but was forced off after the break due to a knee issue.

Taylor Allen - 7

Improved - Caught on the ball which allowed Dylan Duffy to break on the counter-attack but was instrumental after the break. Both goals came from his deadly corner deliveries, with Harrison's header coming directly from his cross.

Ryan Stirk - 7

Grew - Gifted Chesterfield a golden chance to double their lead when he undercooked his back pass but Williams got across to save his blushes. Improved dramatically after the break and helped Walsall regain control of the midfield battle with a dogged display.

Connor Barrett - 6
