Tony Mowbray has important selection decisions to make ahead of tonight’s clash against Blackburn.

It is fifth against sixth in the Championship as Mowbray leads Albion into a clash against his former employers with the home boss looking to build on some last-gasp drama last time out.

The Baggies boss knows he must make at least one alteration to his starting line-up after give-captain Kyle Bartley, who would have started with the armband, was red carded after the final whistle for his role in a fracas with Sheffield Wednesday players after Jayson Molumby’s winner. He starts a three-game ban.

Fortunately for Albion, loan defender Mason Holgate returned from illness to train this week and will slot in to replace Bartley.

Mowbray’s other big poser comes as a result of a challenging three-game week.

Blackburn, likely to be without Derby-bound boss John Eustace, are a chief top six rival but Albion are on the road for a difficult game at Millwall in a few days. Three games in eight days tends to always test the back-up options in a squad.

Mowbray will have this in mind. Against Wednesday last time out he somewhat surprisingly rested wingers Tom Fellows and Mikey Johnston. Both emerged from the bench to create Albion’s goals in fine late cameos against the Owls.
