The Hawthorns will play host to England under-21s, a side which could include the Baggies' own starlet Tom Fellows, against Portugal under-21s on on Monday, March 24 (7.45pm kick-off).
The fixture is a coup for the club who have been working hard for the opportunity to showcase an England international fixture at the stadium, which is in its 125th year.
No Three Lions side has played at The Hawthorns for more than 15 years. The last to do so was an under-20s outfit who beat Montenegro 5-0 in 2009.
Lee Carsley's under-21s tackle their European counterparts in a friendly prior to the summer's European Championship, where the Young Lions bid to defend their crown from 2021.
England's senior team have played two matches at The Hawthorns, both a century ago back in the 1920s.
Youth internationals took place at the ground in the 1970s and 1980s and there was a B team fixture in 1998.
Tickets for the friendly are available now with prices £10 and under for season ticket holders and members and capped at £15 for non-season ticket holders.
