Walsall vs Gillingham preview: Saddlers must make home advantage count to reverse slump
Walsall need to make home form count more than ever when they welcome struggling Gillingham to Bescot later this evening.
The Saddlers have gone over five months without a league defeat on home soil, a run stretching 10 games, but form on the road has taken a turn for the worst.
Mat Sadler's men had matched their away tally of 23 points from the previous campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory at Notts County on New Year's Day.
But since then, Walsall have suffered three successive setbacks on their travels for the first time under Sadler in League Two, as their 12-point lead from just over a fortnight ago has been sliced in half.
