The US international has faced a year on the sidelines following his latest major injury against Ipswich Town last season.
The striker, who has had a string of injury issues since arriving at the club from Orlando City for £7m, ruptured his Achilles for the second time and has spent a year on the sidelines.
He has been edging closer to a comeback and returned on Monday night as Richard Beale's Albion under 21 side beat Newcastle 3-1 at Solihull Moors.
Dike played the first 30 minutes of the game before being taken off - as he continues to ramp up his fitness ahead of a return to first team action.
