The club needed to bring in some additions to balance the squad and as the transfer dominoes began to fall elsewhere, Wolves were able to tie up some crucial deals.

Leaving most of the business until deadline day is never advised, but the winter window is often a tough market to crack and following a deserved and crucial 2-0 win over Villa, Wolves followed it up with two last gasp additions.

Following the signing of Emmanuel Agbadou earlier in January, Wolves were desperate to add another defender to their ranks.

The Kevin Danso deal fell through after it was hijacked by Spurs and Wolves moved quickly to agree a deal with Red Star Belgrade's  Nasser Djiga.

At 22-years-old, and coming from the Serbian league, he will need some time to adapt.

However, he does offer a physical and athletic right-footed centre-back that should fit into Vitor Pereira's system.

He also offers immediate competition to Matt Doherty who has done well since his move deeper into defence.

Turkish giants Galatasaray tried to hijack the Djiga deal but the player insisted he wanted to join Wolves.
