Albion made the 21-year-old attacking midfielder their third signing of the winter window in a deal of around £3.3million from Randers FC in the Dane's homeland.
Bany, who is also of Palestinian heritage, only joined Danish Superliga outfit Randers a year ago from the second tier of Danish football and has made a big impression as a versatile attacker.
He has been courted by a number of clubs, with reports linking Bany with Celtic as well as clubs from the top flights in France and Belgium. He agreed a three-and-a-half year deal at The Hawthorns.
Bany joins Isaac Price and Will Lankshear through the door at The Hawthorns this window as Albion owners Bilkul Football deliver on their vow of transforming the squad into a younger, more dynamic model.
Price, 21, joined in a £2.5m move from Standard Liege in Belgium, Lankshear is a 19-year-old Tottenham loan prospect and Bany only recently turned 21.
Nestor said: "There has been significant interest in him across Europe, and with good reason, as he is one of the most effective attacking players in Denmark.
“He is a versatile attacker that can play as a No.10 and in other forward positions. Having turned 21 this season, he is someone we can count on as part of our squad building plans both for now and in future years, so we are pleased to get the deal over the line.”
Bany joins Lankshear as fresh options for head coach Tony Mowbray to call upon in his forward line. Albion have lacked natural options in the centre-forward position with Josh Maja joining Daryl Dike in the treatment room.
Spurs' England youth international is a natural striker, expected to lead the line, while Bany plays in a slightly more reserved role.
