Wolves vs Aston Villa: Last five Molineux meetings

With the latest instalment of their West Midlands rivalry on the horizon, we take a look back at the past five derbies at Molineux.

Wolves 1-1 Aston Villa (8 October 2023) 

Wolves battled to a 1-1 draw against Villa at Molineux in a feisty West Midlands derby which saw referee Rob Jones with his hands full. 

Hwang Hee-chan opened the scoring at the start of the second half when he poked home Neto's cross. 

Villa hit back within two minutes of falling behind after Pau Torres scored his first goal for the club to salvage a point. 

Ollie Watkins hit the crossbar deep into 12 minutes of second half stoppage time, shortly after Mario Lemina was shown a second yellow card for pulling back Nicolo Zaniolo.
