Tommy Simkin - 7

Had very little to do aside from the two goals that he conceded although his long ball after the restart eventually led to Walsall's second goal.

David Okagbue - 8

Authoritative - Lost Scott Hogan in the build-up to MK Dons' opener but was dominant in the air and was rewarded for his tenacity when he scrambled the ball over the line to equalise for Walsall.

Harry Williams - 8

Strong - Provided a major long throw threat and got on the score sheet himself with a lovely finish from an acute angle for Walsall's third.

Taylor Allen - 8

Impressed - Forced McGill into an error with his corner delivery for Walsall's equaliser and dazzled at times with a string of stunning diagonal switches.

Ryan Stirk - 9

Determined - Did the dirty work in midfield as has come to be expected and set-up Williams' goal with some determined play on the edge of the box.

Connor Barrett - 8

Creator - A creative force on the right with his cross eventually leading to Liam Gordon firing Walsall ahead just after the break.

Oisin McEntee - 9

Relentless - Pressed relentlessly throughout to demonstrate his endless endurance and helped create overloads down the right with a number of rampaging runs.

Jamie Jellis - 8

Threat - Posed a threat in the first half but burst into life after the break. Came close when he was denied on the half volley and stole the ball to set-up Adomah's goal.

Liam Gordon - 9

A bundle of energy going forward and marked a strong performance with Walsall's second goal just 25 seconds after the restart.

Albert Adomah - 8

Key - Given the nod in attack following Nathan Lowe's recall and performed well as he got a vital flick on to set-up Liam Gordon before scoring Walsall's fourth.

Jamille Matt - 8

Focal point - Provided Walsall with a vital focal point in attack, with his work on the press preventing MK from building out of defence.

Substitutes

Charlie Lakin (for McEntee, 74)

Energetic - Seamlessly picked up the baton from McEntee to provide an injection of energy in midfield for the closing stages.

Josh Gordon (for Matt, 80)

Comeback - Marked his Bescot comeback after four months out from the bench and pressed McGill into undercooking his pass in the build-up to Walsall's fourth/
