Tommy Simkin

Simkin sat out in midweek as Sam Hornby continued his record of starting every EFL Trophy game.

Stoke City loanee Simkin will be back between the sticks on the weekend though and searching for a 12th clean sheet in League Two.

David Okagbue

Okagbue was one of only three players to keep his place in the XI at Peterborough after Mat Sadler rang the changes in the EFL Trophy.

Expect normal service to resume in the back-line with Sadler reverting to his strongest XI against an MK side which is still very much in the play-off picture despite a recent drop off in form.

Harry Williams

Williams will be completely fresh for Saturday after being left out of the squad entirely on Tuesday.

Walsall have won all eight of their games in League Two since his return from a head injury in December.

Taylor Allen

Allen was one of the few bright sparks at London Road and Sadler was mindful of the weekend as he withdrew him for the final 30 minutes.

Ryan Stirk

Stirk got off the mark with his first goal of the season in the club record-breaking 5-1 rout over Tranmere Rovers last weekend.

He has started every game for Walsall in the league this term but was afforded a well earned rest in midweek to keep him fresh.

Connor Barrett

Barrett, alongside Stirk, has started in each of the 24 league games so far. He came on for the final 30 minutes in midweek but is poised to return to the XI.

Jamie Jellis

Jellis played longer than planned at Peterborough due to Donervon Daniels' first half injury but I'd expect Sadler to go with his strongest midfield, and in order to do so, Jellis must start.

Charlie Lakin

Lakin was Walsall's biggest attacking threat at Peterborough. He forced Peterborough goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic into a series of stunning saves and will be key in the midfield battle against a possession crazy MK side.

Liam Gordon

The wing-backs have been key to Walsall's transformation and Gordon continues to show why Sadler has become so dependable on him during his 18 months at the helm.

Jamille Matt

Matt was the headline grabber against Tranmere Rovers last week and his goals could take on even more importance between now and the end of the season following Nathan Lowe's departure.

Albert Adomah

The centre-forward spot will be the most contentious on Saturday following Lowe's recall from Stoke City.

Danny Johnson may have scored at Peterborough but he also spurned two glorious chances either side of the break. There are also still question marks surrounding his pressing capabilities, which is why I expect Adomah to be given the nod.

Josh Gordon could also be a prime option off the bench after his late consolation goal, although he is still not quite match fit to feature from the start.
