Daniels was forced off after going down in the 23rd-minute in Walsall's 4-2 defeat at Peterborough United in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night.
Sadler has since confirmed that the Saddlers skipper will be unavailable on the weekend but was unable to provide a time frame at this early stage.
The 30-year-old is due to go for a scan at the start of next week, with an update on the severity of the issue expected over the coming days.
He said: "Donervon took his calf on Tuesday. I don't not what that looks like but he'll be out of the game (against MK Dons).
"We'll probably get it scanned early next week. Unfortunately it looks like he'll be out for a little bit but I'm not sure how long that'll be yet."
Daniels has endured a difficult 12 months at Walsall after facing a series of injury setbacks since February last year.
The Montserrat international missed over a month with an ankle injury during the second half of last season and was forced to sit out the first two months of the current campaign with a knee issue.
Daniels has amassed just 403 minutes across his nine appearances in all competitions this term and has made just five starts in total.
The centre-back, who is out of contract in the summer, is the second longest-serving player at Bescot.
