The big question, of course, is can they go again?

As Chris Brunt admitted rather cheekily after the Preston game on Wednesday, Albion players are having to go to the well and back several times for the interim team - and some are pushing their bodies to the limit.

But the harsh reality is several members of Albion's weary squad will have to start for a fifth time in 14 days in Swansea tomorrow lunchtime.

I am all for football in this period - and am mostly a traditionalist at heart - but this schedule must be so demanding on players. Brunt called it "a nightmare" this week...and he would know!

Anyway, I've rather naively gone with an unchanged XI for the Swansea.com Stadium clash.

I say naïve. The Baggies were unchanged for Preston from Sheffield United with a gap of Sunday to Thursday - surely the same 11 cannot go again less than 72 hours on?

Who knows? The likelihood is that they cannot. But if it were up to me I would be trying my utmost to keep this momentum, rhythm and confidence going from two very encouraging performances.
