Chris Brunt, Damia Abella and Boaz Myhill will be in the away dugout in South Yorkshire in charge of the troops as the Baggies look to respond to Boxing Day's defeat at Derby.
Albion should travel boosted by Karlan Grant and Callum Styles' return to contention. Both came on as substitutes in the defeat at Derby after missing out the previous game. Grady Diangana was once again a lively sub and looks over his muscle issue.
But there is a fresh doubt over defender Mason Holgate, meaning a potential shuffle. Otherwise Albion are nursing the couple of long-term absentees, though one is hopefully nearing light at the end of the tunnel.
Here is round-up of the fitness concerns ahead of the Bramall Lane clash.
Mason Holgate - groin
The on-loan defender was in some discomfort on a couple of occasions at Pride Park and hobbled off to be replaced by the returning Styles with 15 minutes left.
Brunt said Holgate felt some pain in his groin and he will be assessed before the clash at Sheffield United, where Holgate also spent a portion of last term as a loanee from Everton.
Daryl Dike - hamstring
Corberan said directly before his exit for Valencia that the plan was for long-term absentee Dike to return to parts of team training after the Boxing Day fixture.
It will come as a huge boost to Corberan's eventual successor if the US international frontman is near a return upon their appointment. Dike has not played since last February, when he injured his Achilles in Ipswich.
Semi Ajayi - hamstring
Defender Ajayi is Albion's other long-term injury victim and is not expected to train until at least February with a possible March return after hamstring surgery.
