Alex Palmer 7
Forced into two saves in the first half, as Albion were under the pump with Derby cranking up the pressure. Couldn't do a great deal about the first, and even less the second.
Darnell Furlong 5
Smashed the post from distance, but was then caught out of position for the second goal. Was nowhere near his best Albion outing but did again work well with Fellows.
Kyle Bartley 5
Got a good block in early doors, but was then fortunate not to concede a penalty and almost gifted Derby a goal with a header back into the box. A tough afternoon for the skipper.
Mason Holgate 5
Got caught out of position a little bit in the first and second half, and Albion's centre backs had a tough evening with Derby's aerial threat. Was his unfortunate deflection that turned in the second, before he came off through injury.
Torbjorn Heggem 5
Lost possession a few times in the first half, but his side were guilty of that collectively. Then came a shocking error to gift the home side possession in the lead up to the opener. A rare off day for Heggem.
Uros Racic 4
Made a super interception early on to prevent a certain chance, but had a really bad half from there on in. Out of position, lost the ball too and was just not in the game at all before being hooked at the break.
Alex Mowatt 6
A steady evening for Mowatt, but like others was not near his best. Almost playing in midfield on his own in the first half, but still the main dictator on the ball. In the second it was the same, and he tested the keeper from distance.
Mikey Johnston 7
Lost the ball in the build-up to the opener, but recovered and was lively in stages of the first half. In the second, when Albion were bang on top in the game everything was coming from his side. Surprisingly taken off.
Tom Fellows 7
Gave the ball away a few times, but he was Albion's main threat from the right. Good crosses in the first half and a half chance, before his trademark stand up cross helped to get them back in.
John Swift 6
Did okay. Rattled the post with a free kick in the first half, and was neat and tidy at times but was slack in possession in other areas.
Josh Maja 6
Good hold up play yet again from Maja who linked the ball well. Problem with that is he's behind play when crosses come in. Only chance he had was an effort from distance.
Subs
46 - Jayson Molumby for Racic 6
Almost cost Albion a second when he lost possession, but did come into the game and drove Albion on late on.
69 - Grady Diangana for Swift 7
Arguably the one positive was Diangana's contribution from the bench. Scored the goal, set up a big chance for Grant and showed he still has a part to play.
69 - Karlan Grant for Johnston 5
Had a huge chance from just yards out to level late on but took a touch and was unable to find the net.
75 - Callum Styles for Holgate N/A
