Mat Sadler hails Walsall midfielder Charlie Lakin as an "unsung hero" behind their recent form

Lakin produced another standout performance during Walsall's 1-0 victory over Barrow at Bescot on Saturday, which sent them four points clear at the top, to continue his rich vein of form in recent weeks. 

The 25-year-old, who arrived at the club in the summer, has scored twice and contributed one assist in 27 appearances across all competitions this season. 

But Sadler feels his intelligence and hard work continues to serve as a vital asset for the team.
