The striker continued his hot streak as Albion top scorer on November 1 with a genius opening goal in the Friday night clash at Luton.

There appeared very little on during an underwhelming first half of football at Kenilworth Road, but the Nigerian made the difference on the stroke of half-time with a smart piece of skill and quick-thinking.

The striker controlled the ball and worked it to Karlan Grant on the left side of the Hatters' box.

Grant's darted past one and his low delivery back towards Maja seemed to leave the latter with little on. But Maja used the pace on the cross to turn a deft first-time flick with his left foot across goal, through a defender leaving home goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski with no chance.

Albion conceded a second-half equaliser to Tahith Chong from Alex Mowatt's error for one of a series of draws.

Other contenders are Bristol City's Max Bird, Josh Murphy for Portsmouth and Jerry Yates of Derby County.
