Molumby, 25, sees his current terms at The Hawthorns expire at the end of the season.

Corberan insisted those conversations are for club decision-makers with Andrew Nestor, Bilkul's CEO who has resumed actions as sporting director and owner Shilen Patel having an eye on developments.

The Albion head coach said he does not know if conversations have started but it is understood the Spaniard will be involved with decisions on the futures of players. A handful of senior players see contracts expire next summer.

Republic of Ireland international Molumby, who joined the club from Brighton for £900,000 in 2022 after an initial loan, has by and large been a regular in Corberan's side and caught the eye in Sunday's draw against leaders Sheffield United.

"Not only on Sunday - I think Molumby has been winning the position because he deserves it," Corberan said of the midfielder.

"For me he is showing me that he is a first 11-level player in the team.
