Llayton, 10, shines in darts Super League, while Junction become treble winners
Ten-year-old Llayton Shaughnessy proved to be the star in West Midlands Darts Super League this week, writes Paul Walters.
The youngster came from two down to win his match 4-3 in Wednesbury BL's 3-2 success over Landywood, with the other wins from Brandon Jones and Ashleigh Perry.
Junction A defeated Junction B 5-0 thanks to Greg Parkes, Ryan Bourne, Charlie Burley, Paul Bromley and Louis Burley, while Kings Head came from two down to beat Gilberts B 3-2 courtesy of Mark Maiden, Richy Platt and Matt Dennant.
Parkes Hall A moved clearer at top of Coseley Friday League Group A after beating closest rivals Wednesfield Cons 5-2 with wins from Harry Williams, Mark Jones, Mark Rollinson and Lee Jordan.
Allens B kept up the pressure by winning 7-0 at Hurst Hill with Danny Knight, Stuart Earp, Chris Hickman, Ryan Tinsley and Luke Messer on target.
Group B leaders Hotshots had a 5-2 success at Three Crowns - Ryan O’Connor, Jamie Hughes, Matt Coleman and George Jeavons doing the damage.
Allens A had a great 5-2 win over Gornal BL - Dan Fellows, Shane Gill and Ryan Hardman all winning.
Tettenhall Wednesday League champions Junction B claimed their title of the season by beating Moreton Arms 4-1 in the 501 Cup with wins from Richard Newey, Ryan Locker, Ryan O’Connor and Mark Curley.
Swan Compton claimed the 501 Con Cup after defeating Charlies Bar 4-1 - Nige Southwick, Dodge Booth, Mick Scott and Dave Gamble the Swan heroes.
Wednesfield Legion won a topsy-turvy battle 4-3 against Ring of Bells in the Wolverhampton Tuesday League with wins from John Jordan, Lee Smart, Steve Hillman and Sid Bourne.
Milestone had a 4-3 success over Junction D thanks to Andy McAree, Jake Clark, Bobby Peace and Dan Knowles, while Corpus had a great 6-1 win over Junction C courtesy of Stu Richards, Mark Watkiss, Dave Lucas, Nev McEveley, Connor Lucas and Craig Locker.
