What followed was arguably the most impressive performance of Gary O’Neil’s 18-month tenure.

A win at Fulham may not be an outlier in the history books, but for a team starting the afternoon deep inside the bottom three and a manager under intense scrutiny from disgruntled fans, this resounding win could be the turning point in a season of pain and suffering.

O’Neil played Lemina alongside Toti Gomes in a back-four that was very solid throughout the afternoon despite testing conditions.
