Alex Palmer 6

Made a couple of key saves in the game but his distribution was again called into question, giving the ball away on a few occasions in the first half.

Mason Holgate 6

Did okay at right back and slotted into centre back in the second half. Got lucky leaving a bouncing ball and then was outmuscled when trying to shield the ball out and needed a block to save him.

Kyle Bartley 7

Superb return. Solid, won his headers and was very good on the ball after coming in as a very late change. Must have only been able to complete 45 minutes as he came off at the break.

Torbjorn Heggem 8

Massive tackles again from Heggem. Struggling with superlatives to describe his displays at the moment. Just a big presence and becoming the first name on the team sheet.

Callum Styles 7

Tidy on the ball, keeping possession well. Only gripe is that he could play forward more but did his job well.

Jayson Molumby 6

Solid, good in tight areas but like Styles was a little bit guilty of not playing forward when the chance really was on.

Alex Mowatt 7

Big tackle to get Albion out of trouble in the first half, and saved Holgate's blushes with a big block in the second. Kept it ticking, could have been braver in possession, but commanded his role well.

Tom Fellows 6

Set up a brilliant early chance for Maja but going forward that was the last we really heard of him until late on when he crossed for Dobbin. Did a really good defensive duty.

Mikey Johnston 5

A difficult evening for Johnston. Tried hard to get things moving but just did not have any luck and was crowded out on a number of occasions.

Karlan Grant 7

Good again. Nothing flash, but worked hard, won his battles, tried to get forward where he could but couldn't carve out much by way of chances.

Josh Maja 7

Had a big chance in the first half, and arguably the best chance any side had all game. Hold up play was first class but had so little to work with going forward.

Substitutes

46 - Lewis Dobbin for Johnston 6

Better from Dobbin. Drew fouls, got Albion moving forward and looked more of a threat, but spurned a bit chance in the second half.

45 - Uros Racic for Bartley 7

Impressive stepping in at the back in a tough game when Albion were struggling for numbers out there at the back.

79 - John Swift for Maja - N/A

89 - Devante Cole for Grant N/A
