The Spaniard reckons it is all to play for in the second tier this season as his troops return to action at home to Norwich City, fellow beaten play-off semi-finalists from last term.

Corberan described the form of surprise table-toppers Sunderland as "unbelievable" and said Sheffield United, also on 31 points after a two-point deduction, and Leeds are at a similar level.

The Albion head coach declared his surprise at rock-bottom Queens Park Rangers, whose boss Marti Cifuentes he rates highly and who are five points from safety, but otherwise Corberan feels part of the reason behind a ton of draws for his side is how even the division is.

"We know this year the competition is very equal," Corberan said. "I've never seen this competition with this number of teams in a similar level. Normally you see more gaps in the competition.
