Joe Foulkes is the first defender to score for Harriers this season as he netted their third in the first half. Amari Morgan-Smith and Tope Obadeyi also scored before the break, before Ashley Hemmings sealed the win on the hour-mark.

Manager Phil Brown was happy with how the players applied themselves, despite going ‘in on them’ at half time.

“Shields got into our penalty box quite easily and that was a warning sign for the second half," he said. “I went after the players at half time – at 3-0 up you might think that's crazy, but I think we've set a standard here with the ball and without the ball.

“Without the ball I think the closing down in the front three has got us a result at Curzon Ashton, it's got us a result against Farsley Celtic and now tonight, in the first 44 minutes of the game, it was 3-0.”

Kidderminster next host Halesowen Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday afternoon.

Chasetown fell 2-0 to top-of-the-league Vauxhall Motors in their Northern One West match. They sit sixth in the league with two games in hand as they travel to Alvechurch on Saturday.

In Division One Midlands, Sporting Khalsa had a goal denied in added time and hit the woodwork twice as they lost 1-0 to league leaders Quorn.

Lye Town are out of the Birmingham Senior Cup after losing 2-1 to Solihull Moors. Justice Campbell equalised for the Flyers just after the break, but Solihull hit back to progress.

Khalsa next travel to Oxford City, while Lye Town host Bedworth United.
