Harry Williams has been ruled out for the next two games (against Crewe and Shrewsbury Town) due to concussion although Ryan Stirk and Brandon Comley have overcome illness to be available for selection.
Here's a full round-up of Walsall's injury and suspension issues ahead of the weekend.
Williams, who has started every game in all competitions since late August, suffered a nasty collision with the advertising hoardings during Walsall's cup win over Bolton last week.
Medics rushed to his aid and a stretcher was taken over to him before the defender returned to his feet with a bloodied head. Mat Sadler confirmed he had been taken to hospital following the incident and the club issued a positive update on Sunday.
The defender suffered no further internal damage but the club will now follow concussion protocol which has ruled him out of the weekend and the EFL Trophy tie against Shrewsbury on Tuesday night.
Sadler said: "He'll be out for both games unfortunately (against Crewe and Shrewsbury) but we're fortunate we've got a good squad.
"Once the adrenaline left his body, he was very soar and we made sure that he had all the tests that he needed to make sure that he wasn't going to go home at any point and something sinister pops up.
"So we are thankful, fortunate and lucky that everything was fine. So touch wood he goes through the stages that he needs to go through now to be able to be declared fit."
Josh Gordon has been out of action since late August after undergoing surgery on his hamstring injury.
The striker last featured in a 2-1 win against Cheltenham Town on August 31 but was forced off inside 15 minutes on his 150th appearance for the club.
He has been back at Essington continuing his rehabilitation but is still not expected to be available until the New Year.
Farquharson is also targeting a possible return in the New Year and has been missing since suffering a thigh injury at Tranmere Rovers in August.
The defender also required surgery on the injury but is finally off crutches and continuing his rehabilitation with Josh Gordon in the gym at Essington.
"We're still looking at the middle of January for both of them but it's good to have them moving about," the Walsall boss revealed last week.
"It was really good last week but just having Josh in full-time. We've missed him if I'm honest. We've missed his enthusiasm and his bubbliness and Priestley needed a new gym partner.
"So get them paired together and it's good to have them back."
