Barrett has seamlessly adjusted to life in the Football League after registering seven assists in his first 19 appearances for the club across all competitions.
The 22-year-old has started every league game since his summer arrival from National League outfit AFC Fylde and has played a key role in propelling Walsall into second spot in League Two.
Walsall have collected 26 points from their opening 13 matches and boast a game in hand on league leaders Port Vale who they trail by just four points.
